Embrace Kids Fundraising Campaign
It’s no secret that we support and champion women’s inclusivity, diversity and positivity.
So when we came across Taryn Brumfitt’s story about her plight to change the way we feel about ourselves and value our bodies, we felt instantly connected.
Taryn founded the internationally recognised crusade, The Body Image Movement, in 2012. After receiving much support and praise, Taryn went on to direct the documentary Embrace to explore the very serious issue of body image.
Today, Taryn’s journey continues with a new project just as important as her first - Embrace Kids. Currently in the fundraising stage, it’s an important documentary about the relationship children have with their bodies. The film will unpack why body image has become a global problem of epidemic proportions and will offer solutions to help children to foster a positive body image. Once the documentary is completed it is Taryn’s mission to make it accessible to all schools across Australia - free.
“I love how AT brings size inclusivity and style together, it’s no wonder they have so many happy customers, myself included!” - Taryn Brumfitt, director of Embrace Kids.
This is a project that both of us feel really passionate about. As mums of young kids we can see how images of the so-called perfect body can affect young minds. But it’s not just as mums - as a nation we have a responsibility to look after the mental and physical wellbeing of our next generation.
So, until the end of May 2019, we will be donating $20 towards Embrace Kids for every transaction that uses the code EMBRACE at the checkout.
We believe that this documentary can make a real difference and we invite you to join us in supporting this project.
