I do alot of trail running and these have been great. Not friction or heat downstairs.
You don't need me to tell you that chafing is painful. I really don't like thread on my inner leg. All shorts should be made like these.

I cannot fault them..did not like the style before pockets were introduced.
They don't ride up the crutch or turn down at the waist.
I prefer the short 5 inch bike pants to my normal length bike pants in summer for exercise. A lot more comfortable & cooler.
