Some colours just stay with you.
The inspiration for Indigo came from a trip to the Great Barrier Reef for my birthday last February. Snorkelling through crystal-clear water, I found myself drawn to the incredible shades of blue beneath the surface. Not the bright turquoise you expect, but the deeper, richer tones that seemed to shift with every movement of the water.
That's where Indigo began.
It sits somewhere between blue and violet, changing beautifully depending on the light. Sometimes it feels rich and moody. Other times it's vibrant and bright. It's a colour that never feels flat, and that's exactly what I love about it.
It also happens to be my favourite colour to wear, so I'll admit this decision was slightly selfish. But I'm the designer, and every now and then I think that should come with a few perks.
What I love most about Indigo is how wearable it is. It has the timelessness of navy, but with a little more personality. It's subtle enough to become part of your everyday wardrobe, while still feeling like something a little special.
That's why we wanted to bring it across some of our favourite collections.
You'll find Indigo throughout our Base Collection, including the Core Pocket Base No Chafe Legging, Quarter Zip Base Top, Long Sleeve Base Top, Zip Through Base Jacket, Core Pocket Base No Chafe Bike Short, Shelf Bra Base Tank and Form Base Adjustable Sports Bra. They're the kind of pieces that work just as well for a morning walk as they do for school drop-off, a gym session or a busy day running errands.
We've also introduced Indigo into our Organic Rec and Perform styles, bringing this rich new colour to the Rec Organic Fleece Half Zip Jumper, Perform Lightweight Training T-Shirt and Perform Lightweight Cropped Tank .
Whether you're pairing Indigo with black, white, grey, cream or denim, it's one of those colours that just works. Familiar enough to feel timeless, but different enough to freshen up your wardrobe.
