Swim more, replace less. Our chlorine resistant swimwear is made for women who are in the water every week: lap swimmers, aqua aerobics regulars, mums on pool duty and anyone tired of buying new bathers every summer. Every one piece and tankini in this collection holds its colour, shape and stretch through repeat pool and ocean swims, in sizes 8-26 Australia.
Chlorine resistant fabric, made for us
Chlorine breaks down elastane, the fibre that gives swimwear its stretch. That is why ordinary bathers go saggy in the seat, lose their grip at the band and turn see-through when wet. Our core range uses a custom ribbed nylon and spandex fabric that is chlorine resistant and made exclusively for Active Truth. Our limited edition prints use a smooth recycled nylon and lycra, also chlorine resistant. Both hold their depth of colour instead of fading after a few weeks of laps.
Support that lasts as long as the fabric
A long-lasting swimsuit is only worth it if you want to wear it. Our one pieces and tops are built on supportive shelf bras with no underwire, so there is nothing to warp or rust in the pool. Choose a supportive one piece for laps, a tankini for easy changes, or browse tummy control swimwear if smoothing through the middle matters too.
How to make chlorine resistant bathers last even longer
Rinse in cool water straight after every swim, press the water out in a towel instead of wringing, and dry flat in the shade. If you swim more than twice a week, rotate two suits so the fabric has time to recover. More tips in swimwear that survives the season.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is chlorine resistant swimwear?
Swimwear made from a fabric blend that resists the breakdown chlorine causes in standard swim lycra, so it keeps its stretch, shape and colour through far more pool swims.
Does chlorine resistant mean it's stiffer?
No. Our fabrics are soft and stretchy while still standing up to pool chemicals.
Is it suitable for ocean swimming too?
Yes, the fabric performs just as well in salt water.
What sizes do your chlorine resistant swimsuits come in?
Sizes 8-26 Australia, with shelf bra support up to a G cup.
