Tights for Women with Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a medical condition that affects millions of women worldwide. It can cause a variety of symptoms, including pelvic pain, fatigue, and menstrual irregularities. Exercise is known to help reduce pain from endo, but for many women shopping for tights to wear when working out, or just to feel comfy throughout the day, can be a difficult experience. We have recently released a tight specifically to support women with endometriosis during a flare up.

Sensitivity to Pressure

One of the most common symptoms of endometriosis is pelvic pain, which can be exacerbated by pressure on the abdomen. This can make it difficult to find tights that are comfortable to wear, as most high-waisted styles have compression that puts pressure on the pelvic area and the lower abdomen that exacerbates pain.

Bloating and Swelling

Endometriosis can also cause bloating and swelling in the abdominal area (often called endo belly), which can make it difficult to find tights that fit properly. Women with endometriosis may need to buy tights that are a size or two larger than their normal size to accommodate for bloating and swelling. However, this can make it difficult to find tights that fit properly in other areas, such as the legs and hips.

Maternity Leggings for Endometriosis

Wearing maternity tights can be a helpful solution for women with endometriosis, as they provide extra support and comfort for the abdominal area. Maternity pants, in particular, have a stretchy waistband that can help to alleviate pressure on the abdomen and reduce discomfort. However there is a high infertility rate for women with endo, so shopping in maternity stores when you’re not pregnant can be a traumatic experience, when you can’t wear maternity clothes for their intended purpose.

Endometriosis Support Tight

But we knew the product name was alienating, so in honour of Endometriosis Awareness Month, we have released these with a new name — the Endometriosis Support Tight — for a more positive shopping experience for our customers.
